CoastWeather - NCA is an official mobile application from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET). The application is a service for reporting measurements from coastal weather stations along the Norwegian coastline. The application is designed to provide quick access to the latest weather data in order to assist in decisions that may be made in regards to the safety of people and cargo in Norwegian coastal waters.
The service consists of two data elements, time and temperature. The data is updated every hour and is available for most of the stations along the Norwegian coastline.
The application is also used as a means to inform the public of changes that are taking place in regards to weather and sea conditions.
